About this course

This microlearning module introduces generative AI and explains what sets it apart from other types of artificial intelligence. You’ll learn how generative AI creates new content, such as text, images, code, and audio, based on patterns learned from large data sets, rather than following predefined rules. The module provides an accessible overview of key concepts like Large Language Models (LLMs), explores common generative AI use cases, and introduces Microsoft Copilot as the recommended tool for employees at Aker Solutions. By the end of the module, you’ll have a clear understanding of what generative AI can and cannot assist with, and how it can be used responsibly in your daily work.

Course Objectives:

By the end of this course, learners will:
  1. Understand what generative AI is and how it differs from other types of AI.
  2. Recognize common generative AI use cases, including text, image, code, and media generation.
  3. Understand the role of Large Language Models (LLMs) in generative AI systems.
  4. Identify what generative AI tools, such as Microsoft Copilot, can and cannot assist with, and how they can be used responsibly in daily work at Aker Solutions.
