Being an industrial domain expert means knowing your stuff. It means having a feel for what's valuable, what isn't, and what makes sense in an everyday work setting. It means recognising normal equipment behavior better than anyone else. Industrial domain experts are well-suited to perform analytical work. However, they often lack the training to use advanced analytics and data science tools. With the rise of low- and no-code tools, the tide is turning! No longer do domain experts need to know how to code or program data in order to get more insight out of it.

This is an introductory-level learning path that showcases the possibilities that Cognite's data platform offers to all industry workers - field workers and analysts alike - without the need for coding. Domain experts will learn how to consume data from CDF and use it to build solutions with CDF and third-party tools - without coding knowledge.

There are no technical or knowledge prerequisites for this learning path. For the hands-on parts, we recommend using two monitors. This way, you can have the course and the environment you'll be working in both open simultaneously.

To unlock the final assessment, you need to complete all mandatory courses in this learning path: Cognite Data Fusion for Domain Experts; Explore data with Cognite Data Fusion; Cognite Charts; Introduction to CDF & Grafana; Introduction to CDF & Power BI. After passing the assessment, you'll gain a certificate. On Cognite Hub, you'll be awarded the Domain Expert badge.

Cognite Data Fusion for Domain Experts	How Cognite makes data available and useful for domain experts and data scientists alike. How to access and find relevant industrial data. Working with data in a no-code tool called Cognite Charts.
Explore data with Cognite Data Fusion	Find the data you are looking for; so you can start working with and analysing it. Navigate between different data types and relationships between data points using various visualization methods, like engineering diagrams, 3D models, and more.
Cognite Charts	Explain when and why to use Cognite Charts. Use key features and functionalities of Cognite Charts. Connect to a CDF project and create new charts to solve use cases in Cognite Charts.
Industrial Canvas	Explain when and why to use Industrial Canvas. Use key features and functionalities of Industrial Canvas to explore contextualized data and collaborate on it visually.
Introduction to CDF & Grafana	Explain the advantages of using the Cognite Data Source for Grafana. Connect Grafana to a CDF project using the Cognite Data Source. Work with time series, events, and custom queries in Grafana.
CDF & Grafana: Solving a Use Case	Create a dashboard and visualize data from a CDF project. Work with different visualization panels like Time series and Gauges. Apply colors to display your time series data.
Introduction to CDF & Power BI	Explain the advantages of using the Cognite Power BI connector. Set up and connect Power BI Desktop to a CDF project. Work with Filtering and Aggregate functionalities in Power BI.
CDF & Power BI: Solving a Use Case	Use the Power query editor to retrieve data. Work with data and relationships between time series and data points. And finally, visualize data and create a report by using Data Analysis Expressions (DAX).
CDF & Power BI: Reports and Dashboards	Publish a report to the Power BI Service. Update your dataset on a schedule.
CDF & Power BI: Implementing Incremental Refresh	Explain the importance of incremental refresh. Identify the steps in configuring incremental refresh. Set up incremental refresh
Domain Expert Basics Assessment	This 12 question assessment covers the 5 mandatory courses in the Domain Expert Basics learning path. Earn a badge and certificate upon completion.
