About this course

In this course, you'll learn how to match entities in CDF, different entity matching models, feature types, and, most importantly, how it functions. Go through the lessons thoroughly, as it will come in handy in the second installment of the course, which will be released soon.

This course is for data engineers looking to up their knowledge and skills in entity matching.

At the end of the course, you’ll be able to:

  • Explain how entity matching works.
  • Evaluate when it is beneficial to use entity matching and when to choose other tools to contextualize data.
  • Contextualize data using entity matching.
  • Explain different entity matching models and their mode of operation.

It's recommended to have completed Cognite Data Fusion Fundamentals before taking this course, so you have a basic understanding of the CDF data model and how to do quick matches from the CDF user interface.
