Welcome to the course on blockchains
Blockchains are changing a variety of industries. This technology enables the secure, efficient, and transparent transfer of values and data over the internet. Blockchains were designed to serve the digital currency Bitcoin, but the technology is now widely used for different purposes in new industries and business areas.
This course introduces blockchains and explains how they function and the value they create.

Who should take this course?
This course was created for anybody interested to learn more about the basic concepts of blockchains.
This course is independent, but also part of the learning path Introduction to enabling technologies. We recommend that you take all 5 courses from the Introduction to enabling technologies series and take the final test to receive a certificate of completion.
